ABSTRACT:
Heat transfer augmentation techniques refer to different methods used to increase rate of heat transfer without affecting much the overall performance of the system. Mostly these techniques are used in heat exchangers. Fins and inserts are used as passive heat transfer augmentation techniques in many of applications. Continuous Research is going on to improve their effective utilization. The present paper is a review of these techniques used in the recent past
