ABSTRACT:
The objective of the paper is to obtain an optimal setting of machining process parameters, cutting speed, feed rate resulting in optimal values of the feed and radial forces while machining tool tungsten and other hardness materials. The effects of the selected process parameters considered are–Cutting speed 6000-10000 RPM. The effect of these parameters on the feed force, radial force is considered for analysis. The analysis of the results shows that the optimal settings for low values of feed and radial forces are high cutting speed, low feed rate and depth of cut by change of the material properties of the chipping tool and work piece materials. The force and feed force are also taken experimentally using dynamometer for above Cutting speeds, feed rate and depth of cut.The optimal values for speed, feed rate and depth of cut are taken using in this project are milling process. Machine selected is rotating milling center. Modeling is done in catia and analysis is done in ANSYS.
