ABSTRACT:
Over the last few years, cloud computing paradigm has witnessed an enormous shift towards its adoption and it has become a trend in the information technology space as it promises new business potential to its users and providers. Cloud Computing research addresses the challenges of meeting the requirements of next generation private, public and hybrid cloud computing architectures, also the challenges of allowing applications and development platforms to take advantage of the benefits of cloud computing. The aim of this paper is to provide a better understanding of the research challenges of cloud computing and identify important research directions in this increasingly important area. In this paper we lay out a roadmap of challenges that will need to be addressed for realizing the potential of next generation cloud systems.
